These monolithic silicon integrated-circuit devices provide output short-circuit protection latch-free operation. These types also feature wide common-mode differential-mode signal ranges have low-offset voltage nulling capability when used with appropriately valued potentiometer. 5-megohm potentiometer used offset nulling types CA748C, CA748 (See Fig. 10); 10-kilohm potentiometer used offset nulling types CA741C, CA741, CA747CE, CA747E {See Fig. types CA1458, 558, CA747CT, have specific terminals offset nulling. Each type consists differential-input amplifier that effectively drives gain level-shifting stage having complementary emitter-follower output.
