INTRODUCTION
This specification covers requirements application Socket Connectors designed used automotive interiors wire harness applications. socket connector features housing with rows contact cavities having in-row row-to-row centerline spacing 2.54 [.100 in.]. Each secondary lock (one contact cavities) cover that rotates "living" hinge. secondary lock must pre-lock OPEN position before contacts inserted into contact cavities. When contact inserted, locking lance contact deflects into contact removal window, locking contact into place. After contacts inserted, secondary lock closed ensure that contacts fully seated provide additional contact retention. Each secondary lock features locking latches that engage locking tabs ensure that secondary lock CLOSED position. socket connector shipped with secondary locks OPEN position.
