RT9541 Series protection overcharge/discharge rechargeable one-cell Lithium-ion (Li+) batteries CMOS process. RT9541 Series detect over-charge/discharge one-cell excess load current charge current, further include short circuit protector preventing large external short circuit current. Applications Information
Operation Description
Refering "Function Block Diagram", when charging voltage crosses detector threshold from value value higher than VDET1, output COUT pin, output over-charge detector/VD1, swiches level,.charger's negative level. After detecting over-charge reset output COUT becomes when voltage coming down level lower than "VDET1 VHYS1", when charger disconnected from battery pack. output DOUT pin, output over-discharge detector/VD2, switches after internally fixed delay time passed, when discharging voltage crosses detector threshold from high value value lower than VDET2. excess load current sensed after internally fixed delay time passsed through built excess current detector, VD3, with DOUT being enabled level. Once after detecting excess current, released DOUT level switches detaching battery pack from load system. Futher, short circuit protector makes DOUT level immediately with external short circuit current removing external short circuit leads DOUT level "H".
