CPF113F
Introduction: CPF113F splitter module that been specifically designed implement functionality pass filter POTS over ADSL application. Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology dedicated point point public network access technology that allow multiple forms data voice video carried over twisted-pair copper wire local loop between network service provider's(NSP'S) central office customer site local loops created either intra-building intracampus. Best ADSL delivers this high speed performance over existing copper telephone line while allowing traditional voice service coexist without interruption through POTS pass filters. POTS-splitter customer premises side consists lowpass section(installed aseparated plastic box). CPF113F integrate pass filter that block high frequency energy from reaching POTS device provide isolation from impedance effects POTS device ADSL.In addition these filter will also attenuate wideband impulse noise generated POTS device interruption loop current(e.g. pulse dialing hook hook transfer) Because POTS splitter connects directly subscriber loop media must also provide some protection externally induced line hits faults which could damage attached equipment endanger humans interacting with installed equipment. circuit protection will provided mostly standard central office line protection means additional protection measures built into POTS splitter protect against line overstress which could damage splitter itself. electrical transmission specification based ETSI castomer requird

This filter pass POTS tip-to-ring voltages ringing signals 100Vrms frequency from15.3Hz 68Hz with component range from 52V. resistance from tip-to-ring line port interface with phone interface shorted, shall less than equal ohms splitter. resistance from tip-to-ground from ring-to-ground POTS interface with interface open shall greater than equal Megohms. ground point shall local building green wire ground. objective resistance should exceed 20M.
4.5. Test method 4.5.1. Insertion loss insertion loss device connected into given transmission system defined ratio, expressed load power available(before after insertion delivered output network beyond point insertion given frequency. general insertion loss device inserted given transmission system mainly caused internal component resistive loss while impedance between source load device interface having been matched. perform insertion loss measurement ,thru calibration must done prior testing General Insertion loss equation expressed following. Insertion loss where measured voltage value load without circuit. measured voltage value load with circuit. test setup shown drawing below.

4.5.2. Return loss
Return loss measure amount energy that lost reflection which resulted from impedance mismatching interface. Return loss essentially defined ratio power incident upon given transmission system power reflected caused impedance mismatch with respect reference impedance interface between source device. Return loss figure function impedance circuit involved therefore frequency dependent. These impedance must closely maintained order reduce possibility undesirable reflection echoes which long distance circuit telephone user destroy data being sent. perform return loss test ,open ,short, load calibration must done prior measurement while impedance Analyzer being selected impedance mode. Return loss general expressed decibels. General Return loss equation below: Return loss ZMdB Where reference impedance measured impedance
